A big step up from the BR1 — gets you hydraulic disc brakes, a better suspension fork with damping adjustment, and a cleaner 1x8 or 3x8 drivetrain. Still the same lightweight Series 1 aluminum frame, but with a package better suited to actual singletrack. The stable Sport Geometry and 100mm fork make it genuinely confidence-inspiring on dirt paths and beginner singletrack. Size-appropriate 27.5" or 29" wheels.
